Christmas 2008

Another Christmas done and over. This year everything seems to have flown by in a blur the past 4mths since I had been diagnosed with cervical cancer and then I had my Hystorectomy on the 22nd of Dec. (SOO happy its over with )

Christmas Eve Morning the boys woke up to alot of presents and I was awoken and told to get myself out of bed that the fat man in red had shown up. Honestly I wasnt that enthrawled seeings everything down south region of my body hurts. But I got my blankey and made home on the loveseat with camera in hand. Both of the boys took turns opening presents and eyeing up what each other got. Both of the boys were really excited about the St. Louis covers that I got for each of their beds. I plan on redecorating both rooms this spring and painting and new window treatments with Cardinal stuff. Brent got alot of new clothes seeings that my young man keeps growing out of his clothes so fast lol. Later in the afternoon, I snapped a picture of Hannah she was all nestled under the Christmas tree and Braedy thought that was a hoot.

Christmas Eve night we went to my parents and had a really nice time there and Santa even paid the boys a visit. Braedy did a stare down on Santa and proceeded to try to tell him that it was pawpaw not Santa.. lol.. but he went along with it and took the pictures. We received so many neat things for Christmas and makes me feel so good that I have sucha great family that I was with.

Christmas Day we spent home all day Jeffs family came for a few hours and then left, and we didnt do a thing but lounge and relax. (seeings thats what Ive been told to do by the doctors lol)

We had a great Christmas even though I was down and out .it just really makes me appreciate what a great bunch of guys that I have in my life.. and what a great Mom and Wife that they make me feel as.

After much concideration, Braedy decided that he did want to go out and play soccer with his friends. He had a really good day and made 4 goals.

Little man has been sick this week and actually was feeling pretty good on this day.

Braedy aka: Ziggy had wrestling practice tonight. He was practicing the duck walk, hes really improving with this.. Tonight when he got home he was practicing his bridging and was trying to put some wrestling moves on Hyde the cat.. lol.. Ziggy has a tourney this Sunday in S. Roxana and hes really excited about getting another medal.. Hes been going through mini meltdowns this week and past . This has been a really hard week on him since what happened in soccer where one of the coaches criticized him about his talking. So we have to boost that confidence back up and make him feel that he can do this and not worry that someone will make fun of him because of his speech. Braedy will do good in anything that he puts his mind to..

Wrestling practice before the first tournement

Ive got 3 different videos that ive taped of tonights practice. Tonight Braedy had wrestling practice before his big tournement. They were giving him tips on how to do better tommrow and teaching him what to expect out there on the mats. He really has been going all at this and enjoying every minute of it.

Ziggy.. put the smak down on Cheeseburger head tonight.. lol.. Braedys nickname in wrestling is Ziggy.. Hes not very fond of it.. but is allowing it.. Tonight they taught the boys the fundementals of what happens in a tournement seeings Braedys beginner tourney is this coming Sat.

Braedy wrestled Dominek (aka: Cheeseburger Head) and he did really good the second match was against another new little boy that is a little bigger and he didnt do as well with him but that didnt make him stop from trying though.

Practice was from 6pm until almost 7;30pm and Braedy did all of it like a trooper. His first tourney will be in Edwardsville and it will be against other new kids that have never wrestled before as well. I will keep everyone informed as this year progresses.

Soccer today was awsome.. Braedy and Cole were on opposing teams and they got to play against each other.. Both of them played so hard it was neat to be there just to see them.Braedy made about 3 goals and Cole made 2 and they were so happy to share that with us. Braedy loves his soccer.. Trying to figure out how to manage all the things hes doing, but soccer seems as if its something that will be around for awhile with him.
Indoor Soccer is alot different than being outside.. Mainly when Braedy throws his body on the ground he gets astroturf burns.. lol..oh and let me not forget that its nicer sitting inside than outside in the elements..

Not only am I a great mom to my handsome boys Brent and Braedy but I am also an Aunt to my two handsome nephews Cole and Reid.. Reid is the newest one to the bunch he is such a great baby. Now mind you I had two awsome kids that were really easy going.. BUT.. Reid is the best, he will sit in your arms and watch a sporting event for an hour and not get fussy, hes as quiet as a church mouse and will just be staring at everything he really is the sweetest baby.

Cole is my buddy and I love him to pieces. He has the kindest heart and just touches you inside so much when hes near you.

Indoor Soccer started up 11/10... Braedy started playing with some of his other friends (Mari & Carter) and his buddy and cousin Cole.. The kids were all excited to see their coach Dave Fernandez and even Cole who had never played for him before, he loved Coach Dave.

Games are played on Saturdays and practices are every other Monday.

They all cant wait until this weekend

Basketball started 11/7 indoor at Sportsplex. Braedy started off awsomely he was dribbling and then tried to make a basket and he couldnt get the ball up to the basket. He had a mini meltdown and was so upset, but a small pick me up talk to him fixed that and he was fine afterwards. He had a good time and learned the game of basketball. Hes ready for next friday to come and practice some more.

Tonight we went to Tequilas and celebrated the boys birthday party. We had so much fun and the food was awsome, (so was the margaritas)

The boys both had their own cakes, Brent had a Icecream Cake and Braedy had Cupcakes in the shape of a cake.

Halloween this year was the best by far. Braedy started off having a great party at the school, where they colored, played a great game of halloween bingo and ate cupcakes and had a parade around the school. He got so many treats from school, I would have thought that would be enough suger Yea.. I was wrong as soon as we got home Brae was rearing to get back in the car and off we went to New Baden and spent the evening there eating Mummys in a blanket (found out from my sis that hot dogs arent red meat they are just lips and assholes *snicker) She also had some yummy broccoli salad and other treats. Trick or Treating was fun watching Cole and Brae run to the doors and whisper out trick or treat.. and then a thankyou.

This was one of the better Halloweens and Braedy seemed to really enjoy it the most

Football Football Football coming to an end this year

Football is about to wind down for the year next sunday is the last sunday that Brent will be playing with the Blue Jays. Next year he will be a freshmen and will be playing for the Maroons.
For this being Brents first year of ball hes done amazing. Ive been pulled aside many atime by the coaches telling me that Brent has a gift and that he needs to follow through with it. After our car accident in '99 and Brent having 2 broken femurs I had been so scared to ever let him play anything let alone football a few years ago I think from listening to me for all those years Brent didnt want to play anymore.. So this year we decided if he was going to try at highschool he really needed to give this a go ahead and play one year.. And that he has.. Hes been Offensive Tightend, Offensive Tackle, hes played special teams so lets just say hes out on the field a whole heck of alot. I cant wait for freshmen year to start up and see him out there. He is quite the football player.

What a great day of fun Braedy had. He had so much fun with all of his friends and they bowled, had cake and opened presents. Im thinking a toy store has hit the house (lol)
He got so many great toys from a scooter, star wars guys, transformers, batman, books an awsome soccer ball and some cute clothes.
My little guy is sure getting big, its fun to see him have such a special day like this and enjoy himself.. Not only him but me, because most of his friends mommies are my friends and I love them alot

My Little Clone Trooper.. lol.. well we caved a little early and gave the boys their birthday presents. Braedy is a full fledge clone trooper with voice changing helmet, clone gun and clone trooper gear.. He is in seventh heaven. He has been running around the house shooting everything in his path. His party is tommorow at the bowling ally with his good friends and thats all he has been talking about.
Wow these are the times that I just will never forget how special things are and how fast my little man is really growing.
